I am passionate about helping students because I like seeing them soar to new heights. My desire stems from having more than 10 years of experience and seeing my students return to thank me for all that I did in preparing them for their future goals. I have a master's in education from the University of Amherst and an undergraduate degree from Union College. I am currently working on a graduate degree in environmental science and engineering. I tutor mainly science and math courses and some ESL classes. Outside of Academia, I like to spend time with my family, cook, travel, and watch movies. My favorite subject to tutor is a science because it helps to explain everything that is occurring around us. My teaching philosophy is to show students the way by providing them with the tools they need to be successful. I like to use inquiry and project-based learning approaches but I can also use traditional methods to teach depending on the student's needs and strengths.
