Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of North Carolina State University where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish language and literature with a focus on education. I took graduate level classes to become certified in English as a Second Language and I received a Master's Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. I am an educator with over 25 years of experience and I have taught grades K-12 in North Carolina, Mississippi, and Florida.
I have experience teaching in person and online. I have tutored students online from around the world who are learning English. I am certified to teach English, Spanish, Reading, and English as a Second Language. I currently teach high school Intensive Reading and I help my students prepare for the ACT and SAT. My goal is to learn about my students and their interests and incorporate that knowledge into our lessons to make them engaging and meaningful. I enjoy teaching students of all ages and I am passionate about helping them achieve their goals. I am a life-long learner who has traveled to many different countries. I love seeing new places and learning about different cultures. I also enjoy reading, exercising, and spending time with my family.
