I've been working with Varsity Tutors for over a year now and really enjoy helping students achieve their goals.

I taught communications and business writing at college for 20 years. My subjects are communications, public speaking, interview skills, resume and cover letter writing, essay editing and business writing. My BA is in English (York Univerisity) and I specialized in Shakespeare.

My MA in adult education allows me to understand how adults learn.

Teaching is my second career. I also had a successful PR career as a writer and spokesperson.

When working with a student, everything starts with listening and mutual respect. I want to know your goals and ensure we both spend our time wisely.

I like to practice yoga and am a registered yoga teacher. I belong to an amateur Shakespeare group. Giving back is important to me; I volunteer at an art gallery. I love to travel. In 2022, I visited London, Paris and Ireland. My public library card is the most important card in my wallet! Twenty years ago I started a book club and we're still going strong reading both fiction and non-fiction.
