Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of Warner University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Exceptional Student Education. I have six years of teaching experience. During these years I taught middle school US History, intensive reading, math, language arts, and science. My most recent position was as a support facilitator at a high school in the following math classes: Algebra 1, Geometry, Math for College Readiness, Financial Algebra and Liberal Arts Math. My role as the support facilitator was to reteach and provide accommodations for students with learning disabilities. I pulled small groups and also worked with the students one on one in the classroom. I have experience teaching English to Japanese students and tutoring elementary and middle school students. My favorite subject to tutor students in is math. Although many people find math challenging, I find that breaking concepts down into small chunks and reteaching foundational skills leads to strong understanding of math concepts.
I have my teaching certification in Exceptional Student Education K-12, Social Science 5-9, and Elementary Education K-6. I am also ESOL endorsed and reading endorsed.
I am currently a stay at home mom with my new baby boy. I enjoy taking care of him each day and listening to podcasts in my free time.
