I have been an English language instructor for over 20 years. I specialize in all practical aspects of language, from grammar and punctuation to academic reading and writing. My professional experience comes from being a language instructor at the English Language Institute of the American University in Bulgaria for 16 years and a writing tutor for Pearson for 6 years now. I have taught all levels of English, including absolute beginners, TOEFL, and SAT Reading and Writing. I am dedicated to language, literature, and teaching in a way that defines me. The world of words is where I am at my best.
When I teach, I strive to pass on to my students what I know. The key to my job is to find ways to explain that reach the largest number of students, regardless of their skills and level of English. This has been one of the greatest challenges and the greatest pleasures of my profession. The best reward for me is to see the students' eureka moment, the moment when a light comes on and they experience the joy of understanding, of clarity, of accomplishment. This is what motivates me to teach.

I am passionate about reading and learning. I have always been fascinated by language and literature, which explains my love of English grammar and writing. I enjoy doing research on topics that I am interested in, gaining a good understanding of them, and talking about them with my family and friends. I thoroughly enjoy conversations about important matters of life. Above all is my family--they are central to both my life and my work.
