I am a double graduate from Western Governors University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Elementary and Middle School Education and a Masters of Education degree in Instructional Design. I have been a public school teacher for 7 years and am National Board certified in Early and Middle Childhood Literacy. I am passionate about helping student succeed to the best of their ability! I love watching students have that lightening AHA! Moment! I tutor language arts, math, science, and social studies for elementary and middle school students. My passion is teaching and my students are my number one priority. I am invested in their academic success and their social and emotional needs. I pride my self on developing relationships with each of my students and knowing them by their needs, strengths, and struggles. Respect and trust are my primary expectations for students in teacher to student interactions and student to teachert interactions.. I create strong relationships with students' families to create a partnership for student success. I have worked with a 3rd grade classroom to integrate project-based learning on plate tectonics to enhance the understanding of the topic with my students and teaching new skill with the 3rd grade students. I am an knowledgeable in learning disabilities such as ADHD. I honestly love teaching all subjects because all learning is fun!

One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is to hang out with my dog! Her name is Brownie and she is a 12 year old English Springer Spaniel. I also love to bake for my family and friends! Cupcakes are my specialty!
