I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Certified Tutor

I am a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Georgia Tech currently working on TEM/SEM microscope instrumentation.
Love working with younger students to witness their enthusiasm and creativity. Throughout college I have worked as a counselor at 4 different youth-outreach camps. Mechanical engineering requires a lot of math and science classes, therefore I feel very confident in my abilities in both areas. I have the most experience in Calculus tutoring and feel comfortable coming up with my own examples and going over steps to solve. Tutoring is a really great opportunity to support each other in a community and really benefits both parties. When I tutor a subject, I get a complete refresh on the concepts! I believe that the most important aspect of tutoring is patience! For both tutors and students, it is easy to become frustrated when stuck on a problem, but I am prepared to take however long to make sure we find an answer!
