I am a student centered K - 3 teacher. Using focused learning of an IB style to show children the value of who they are. My method of teaching is the Socratic method, as it focuses on critical thinking.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Multimedia & Web Design, as well as my TEFL 120 hours. I am qualified to teach non native speakers of English. I adore working with children from different parts of the world. Phonics is my favorite subject to teach. I taught in Beijing, China for 2 years. Working as an Elementary teacher.
My specialties are reading and comprehension, phonics, and language arts, and intro to art (the color wheel).
My students also learn English vocabulary and grammar structures within the context of artistic expression and how creative release can be used in their everyday life; now and always.
My students, even early learners, also learn about cooperation, accountability, time management, goal-setting, and perseverance skills they can carry with them through the entirety of their life.
