Robert: North Aurora tutor
Certified Tutor
Following graduation with a BA from the University of Washington in 1973, I joined the Peace Corps in Morocco and embarked on my career teaching English. After that, I returned to the university of Washington for graduate studies. From 1980 to 2021, I have taught ESL (TEFL certification), ABE-GED, Corrections and Homeless Education, Developmental Education (certification), and College Freshman English, at home and abroad, with 15 years teaching in Saudi Arabia; therefore, I have met and helped learners of all levels improve their English reading, writing, listening, speaking, and grammar skills. Throughout my experiences as an educator, I have improved and increased my skills and sensitivity always to provide learner-oriented lessons in order to help students feel comfortable, progress, and have fun in the process. Currently, I am offering lessons in all levels and forms of English to native and non-native speakers as well as Beginning Arabic for individuals eager to study this language. In my free time, I love reading, watching, and listening to articles and programs about history, politics, sports, and movies.
