I like helping students because I care about achieving individual integrity via truth and honesty. I have 1 year of experience of being a lab teaching assistant at the department of materials chemistry, almost 1 year of experience of being a guitar teacher and 3 months of experience of being a Mandarin tutor. I have tutored both in China and Canada. I obtained my B.Sc. with a major in materials chemistry from Fudan University in 2012 and my B.H.Sc. with a major in addictions counselling from the University of Lethbridge in 2020. I tutor math, chemistry, physics, algebra at high school levels and calculus 1,2 and high school English. My favourite subject to tutor is psychology because I have spent 6 years of my life studying it. My theory of teaching is inspired by Carl Rogers's person-centre approach and informed by Jean Piaget's cognitive development stages and Vygotsky's theory of scaffolding. I value what makes everyone unique by helping them set realistic goals and "jump and catch the peach on the tree" while respecting the commonality in cognitive development. My teaching style is responsive, thorough and clear. I prefer to talk about society when I teach any subject.I like playing soccer and volleyball for pastime. I sometimes play classical guitar in my church.
