I'm currently studying English with a minor in Creative Writing and Film Analysis at Virginia Commonwealth University. I will be graduating December 2021. I will be taking a year off to breath and learn as an individual outside of an academic setting before returning to school to work towards my MFA in Playwriting. I tutor for College Application Essays, Creative Writing, English, English Grammar and Syntax, Essay Editing, Fiction Writing, High School English and Writing, Introduction to Poetry, Literature, Middle School Reading and Writing, Middle School Reading Comprehension, Poetry, Reading, and Writing. My favorite subjects to tutor are anything to do with reading or writing across all grades. I've been a learner all my life. I've always loved learning and, recently, I've been finding I love teaching. I'm passionate about helping students find their own love for learning, whether it mimics my own or not. I want students to feel empowered in their education and not just feel like it's something they must do to get it done. I currently work with students conducting after school programs for middle schoolers and high schoolers. My philosophy when it comes to teaching is to prompt questions before I provide answers. I want to encourage the student to find what they need help with rather than me repeating information they may find unnecessary. Outside of academia, I am a writer, reader, and I love longboarding and biking. If I'm not at home, I'm most likely at comic book store or a museum.
