I am a graduate of The University of Texas at El Paso. I received my Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree with a focus in Early Childhood Education (EC-6). I have 4 years of classroom teaching experience in a public school and 2 years experience in an online setting. I have taught grades 3rd, 4th, and 6th. I have also taught ESL online to students in China. I am currently certified to teach general education in the state of Texas. While I have taught a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English and Children's Literature. I love analyzing written text and having conversations with students about what they enjoy reading. I feel like I have the skill to make these subjects fun and fulfilling for students. I believe that learning can be fun and that teaching through sensory and hands-on approaches is always best and more meaningful. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my 3 year old daughter and husband. I have a tremendous love for animals and enjoy playing with my 2 dogs.

I enjoy reading, game nights with family, playing with my daughter and traveling. I am an avid crafter and enjoy being creative in my spare time. I love embroidery and cross-stitch and have recently opened a small business selling handmade wreaths locally.
