Certified Tutor

I am a highly experienced (10+ years) elementary and middle school teacher who has focused upon math teaching and special educational needs. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Education majoring in maths and have subsequently earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Special Educational Needs Coordination. I also have an additional qualification in dyslexia.
I have substantial experience of tutoring in person and online. My last role was Head of Mathematics at a top London private school preparing children for the best schools in the world. The UK education system is ranked Number 1 in the World according to US News and World Report and my work with the lower ability children helped bolster my previous school to being in the Top 50 in the entire country! While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about math and English. I have significantly improved children's math, reading and spelling scores. I have helped struggling students to prepare for highly competitive entrance tests and fully familiar with Standardized Tests requirements and techniques.
My methodology is to boost confidence, enjoy the subject and in turn results will increase. I make my lessons fun and engaging and encourage children to think beyond a process. In doing so, children will retain information, and this leads to success! Outside of tutoring, I have my own wonderful family who I adore. I enjoy going to the gym, skiing and being the best mum, I possibly can be. I recently moved to the USA from the UK to support my husband's career.
