Certified Tutor

I am currently completing my dissertation for a PhD in Philosophy and Critical Thought from The European Graduate School. I have a master's degree from St. John's College in Liberal Arts and I finished my undergraduate in Philosophy and French. I have extensive classroom teaching experience in foreign languages and literature and I hold a TESOL certificate. My academic interests lie in all fields under the banner of the humanities, although my specialities are Foreign Languages, Philosophy, Literature and Psychoanalysis. I enjoy helping students discover the 'critical twist' to general questions in order to perform strongly on essays as well as in the Critical Reading and Writing portions of standardized exams. I also pride myself in having developed critical thinking techniques when it comes to foreign language examinations (SAT Subject tests, etc.) that can be successfully applied to any portion (listening, reading, writing) of the exam. I believe that every student can achieve their academic goals and I find the journey to get students there immensely rewarding.
