Sometimes just memorizing the facts of a subject is not enough to truly understand it. But talking through the concepts with someone who is non-judgmental, experienced in the subject, and playfully curious can be a valuable way to really understand what you need to learn.
I approach tutoring for psychology as an opportunity to take the information we need to learn for classes and put it in a context that is both valuable and easy to remember. Everything connects, and I like to help students see for themselves how using the "big picture" to understand psychology can be helpful in everyday life (not just in your studies)! I'm also a fan of work "smarter, not harder"- so I'm also down to give you cognitive pych tips/tricks that will help you study efficiently!

I currently work as a mental health counselor in private practice, so I do not have much free time. Though, I love to spend my time listening to psychology podcasts, hanging out with friends, and spending as much time outside as possible!
