Hello,

I am currently a junior at the University of Washington majoring in Human-Centered Design and Engineering (HCDE) with a minor in French.

I am very passionate about speaking French and I try to fully immerse myself in the language every day. My mother's family is from Morocco. As a result, I grew up speaking French. In order to receive an official education in French, I went to French school for 10 years. I additionally took AP French and scored a 5 on the Nation AP French Exam. After completing AP French, I continued on to Post AP French. I think it is important to mention that I placed #7 in the United States and #1 in Minnesota for the Grand Concours. I additionally participated in A Vous La Parole where I earned 4/4 stars and a blue medal. Finally, my high school also awarded me with the French Department "Excellence Award".

My passion for tutoring started as I started helping students with french in sixth grade! My favorite teaching experience was teaching swim lessons for around 3 years. I believe this experience was essential for me to learn how to communicate different skills, in different manners, to many groups of people.

As a Human-Centered Design and Engineering major, I have to use methods I learned and middle school and relearned in college to do college-level math effectively. Therefore, I am apt at tutoring middle school math.

Finally, College levels of English are required for the HCDE major. I also received a 33 on the reading section of the ACT. This is why I believe I would do an exemplary job of tutoring middle school reading and writing.
