I am from Shanghai, China, and spent five years studying at Southern Oregon University in Elementary Education, and now I will get a master's degree in University of Maryland College Park with a Curriculum and Instruction major. I love teaching, and this never changed. Before I went abroad, I taught at Shanghai Xiwai International School and Shanghai Feiyang Education. After I arrived in the U.S I have experience working in K-12 education. In this academic year, I am a student teacher working for Baltimore International Academic (Baltimore, MD) with Kindergarten students and Woodrow Wilson High School (Washington, DC) with high school students. In both student teacher position, I teach students Chinese a second language.
During my teaching, I developed highly effective lesson plans, motivational exercises, and performance assessments. I've helped improve test scores and have received positive feedback from parents and fellow educators alike for my abilities in the classroom. My teaching style demonstrates dedication to foster a positive learning environment to all students and maximizing individual student performance. The accomplishment I'm most proud of in my teaching is making friends with students and helping them meet the standards.
I am not only good at Chinese but also good at math! I had a close 100% score in praxis core math exam.
