I am an incoming freshman at Stony Brook University majoring in Health Sciences. I tutor children learning elementary school math all the way to algebra. I strongly believe it is necessary to understand the math problem rather than solving based on memory, which I try to show my students. My experience comes from teaching the 5th grade Math Team attending my elementary school. I found joy in helping the students, watching how they grow into capable minds ready to lead the future.
