I am a 2016 graduate of the University of Mississippi where I earned my Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science in pursuit of a career in Physical Therapy. Since then, I was accepted into Physical Therapy school at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in the northern suburbs of Chicago, where I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May of 2020. During my time in PT School, I was able to pursue my goal of becoming an educator and was hired to be a Teaching Assistant for both Clinical Anatomy and Kinesiology courses. I had the pleasure to help teach and facilitate success for the 1st year Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Medical, Podiatry, Pathology Assistant, and Nurse Anesthetist Students in clinical anatomy at the graduate level. I also spent time helping to teach the 1st year Physical Therapy students about kinesiology, which was a distinct pleasure as the study of movement plays a massive role in my profession. My time spent in this role helped me achieve excellence in my academics, where I was honored to receive the RFUMS Michael E. Kordecki Excellence in Anatomy Award and was accepted into the National Student of Physical Therapy Honors Society. Teaching about human anatomy and its role in our bodies functional capabilities has quickly developed into a passion of mine where I now work as Adjunct Faculty teaching in the Cadaver Lab for 1st year DPT students. I love being able to help others learn and succeed within the subjects I have become so passionate about on my path to a career in Physical Therapy, and I hope I can continue to help others find success too!
