I've been reading and writing for as long as I can remember, and I love sharing my knowledge and passion with other students. In 2017, I graduated from Scripps College in Southern California with a BA in English and have tutored both middle school and high school creative and academic writing. I've also provided writing consulting for college students and adults, and my tutoring and love of English has taken me from the west coast to the French Alps. I currently work as a freelance copyeditor, and am always practicing and brushing up on my literary knowledge.

I love helping students get beyond the drudgery of writing assignments, and learn how to write essays that THEY are excited about. My style is very professional and focused yet relatable and personal. I try my best to help students approach writing beyond the immediacy of the assignment to a larger appreciation for the art of effective communication, regardless of their interests. In particular, my favorite subjects to tutor are essay writing, argument/thesis development, and literary analysis.

In my free time, you can find me reading, writing, listening to music, babying my plants, and spending time in nature.
