Amara: Victoria tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of Seton Hall University. I received my Bachelor of Science in ACS Chemistry with a minor in Applied Scientific Mathematics. During the course of my undergraduate studies, I served as a professional note-taker for the Student Disability Services Department on campus. I have also served as a tutor for an organic chemistry course. During these two experiences, I learned that I enjoy helping students build on the tools they need to be successful in their studies. Helping a student understand what learning style works best for them and helping to provide them with different perspectives of their material is what I believe can ultimately boost their performance in their courses.
I am a tutor for different levels of math and chemistry. My favorite subject to tutor would be chemistry or stem-related courses as helping a student understand the broad applications and possibilities within their coursework gives the student a connection to the course material. I believe an understanding of the STEM fields is extremely important to understanding the world around you and how it works. My goal is to both help students with their understanding of the material as well as provide them with universal tools and study methods catered to their learning style that they can take with them in any subject.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, trying new recipes, yoga, and drawing.
