To reverence Rudolf Steiner, I believe that education is the fount at which students drink to bring meaning and purpose to their lives
In my experience as a Waldorf teacher for 20 years, I was enriched journeying with students toward such meaning and purpose. One of my students, now a lifelong friend, nominated me for inclusion in the teachers version of 'Who's Who'. I have continued journeying with students as a tutor over the last five years.
I attended Waldorf teacher traning at the University of Detroit Mercy. I completed the program and received my certification in 1995
While a Waldorf teacher, I invented and received a patent for a math calculating and teaching device. Math emerged as my favorite subject to teach. I am adept at using hands-on and imaginative tools to support student success. I get excited teaching math from counting to college algebra.
When I am not teaching, I work on a novel I am writing in the science fantasy genre. I am also involved in some community organizing efforts.
