I am a graduate of Seattle Pacific University with a major in Language Arts and a minor in Elementary Education. I taught for several years right out of college at a private school, but realized my true passion was in educational toys and manipulatives. I loved the hands-on approach to learning, as well as stimulating curiosity, imagination and creativity. Through the years, I've had wonderful experiences in owning my own toy stores, working with game inventors and manufacturers, demonstrating learning products in various settings such as conventions and homeschool summits, working in the schools as a para-educator in special needs classrooms, and more. During the Covid-19 crisis, I continue to work with children on a regular basis through Zoom Youth Group, Sunday School and other organizations that support special needs.
My preferences for tutoring are for Pre-K to 4th grades. I love Reading, Creative Writing, Penmanship and Small Motor Skills, Spelling, Language Arts, Grammar and Report Writing, Geography and History.

My many and varied interests include anything that includes family and almost anything that includes the outdoors! We enjoy walking, hiking, beach combing, camping and picnicking. I also like to make handmade cards and other small crafts. I am definitely not the greatest cook, and give my husband lots of great story material for him to share with his friends! For over a dozen years I have been on the board and on various committees for the Down Syndrome Community of Puget Sound.
