I am passionate about education because I have a daughter who needed extra help in school because of a traumatic brain injury.

I've worked with students in elementary school, middle and high school, as well as at the University level. I especially LOVE teaching reading and inspiring teachers who will be come teachers someday . When you're able to teach someone how to read or learn a new language, or jump into a new career, you truly help them position themselves for so many new opportunities.

I completed my Master's Degree and Bachelor's Degrees in Special Education at the University of North Florida.

I can tutor elementary math and any level of English Language Arts and reading. This includes students who are English Language Leaners (ELL)

My philosophy of teaching includes working with each student individually to find what learning style works best for them. I do not subscribe to a "one size fits all" approach. As an educator who specializes in teaching students with different abilities, I am equipped to tailor your tutoring especially for you!

When I'm not teaching or tutoring, I enjoy any outdoor activity. I regularly go camping, hiking, running, and boating. In the summer, I spend most my time outside the United States traveling. I have visited Ireland, Philippines, Honduras, and many of the European countries. I also have hosted several foreign exchange students.
