I have almost 3 years of experience teaching College Composition courses and a Masters in English. I have written multiple papers and a 40-page thesis on English literature, plays and academic writing from various time periods in the language's history.

I have a particular knowledge and expertise of literature originating in the 15th, 16th, 19th and 20th centuries. I also have a particular passion for both British and American literature.

As for my teaching style, I like to take a more practical, explorative approach where the student and I will discuss either their writing, an assignment or a piece of literature as if we were having a conversation rather than a lesson. I find that students respond better to learning when they can actively contribute to discussions without simply listening to everything the instructor says.

I am deeply passionate about teaching and exploring different forms of writing with students, introducing them to new ways of thinking about literature and even their own writing that engages their interest.
