Certified Tutor

I am a recent graduate of Yale University with a B.A. in English. I was inducted into the first round of Phi Beta Kappa as one of the top thirty-five students in Yale University's Class of 2024, and I graduated with summa cum laude honors. I have also completed a graduate certificate program in publishing at Columbia University. I have loved teaching and tutoring for as long as I can remember. Throughout high school, I tutored math at a nearby public school and helped run an early childhood classroom at a Head Start facility. I was also selected and trained to be a writing tutor and helped a sixth-grader learn to improve and edit his essays. I also was a peer leader my senior year, organizing and teaching a weekly class for a group of ninth-graders. At Yale, I worked as a Community Health Educator, teaching the health curriculum at New Haven public schools. I also worked with Yale Education Tutoring Initiative, tutoring a sixth-grader in all his school subjects. Lastly, I am a staff writer at the Yale Daily News. I love reading and writing and am so passionate about the topics I tutor in. In my tutoring sessions, I hope to get to know my students while creating an environment where they can feel comfortable asking questions, learning, and improving their work.
