I love teaching! I received my degree in California from California State University Bakersfield, received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies, and have my California Credential and also have my Kentucky Credential. As a teacher of 14 years, I have taught in California, Arizona, and Texas grades K-6 in all subjects. My favorite subject is writing! I love getting students to delve into their creative side and learn to love to write because they are writing about what they are interested in. I also love to read and enjoy getting my students to love reading as well. I have always pushed my students to think outside the box to help them see their potential. I have been able to work with low area economic students with high success in their academics. I believe in having my students set goals and track their success giving them ownership of their academic success. I truly believe that every single student can be successful in any subject no matter how difficult they might think it is. It's a matter of changing their mindset. I always take a positive approach to everything I do and teach. Outside of teaching I enjoy singing with my husband, surfing, crafting and traveling. We have a huge family of 7 children and 14 grandchildren with a new one on the way! Family is so important to me and I enjoy getting to craft and cook with my grandchildren.
