Teaching to patients or to students requires a connection to their level of understanding first, in order to assist in developing critical thinking skills.
Having been a practitioner and then a PA educator allows me to recognize the level of didactic education the student has had and how to enhance it for the clinical year and beyond.
Performance on PANCE/PANRE exams requires a simple approach to the architecture of the question, in order to successfully demonstrate ones core knowledge. I have written numerous summative exams, course exams, OSCE vignettes, administered Packrat and EOR exams and have successfully led our PA program team to state and local medical challenge bowls, in addition to tutoring both PA and Medical students.
I will reduce your stress level when taking exams and offer strategic approaches to focus on what the question is asking, to increase your confidence in your ability to perform successfully.
