Certified Tutor

I have a Bachelors in Health Science and an Associate of Science in Medical Assisting from Keiser University. I have been teaching medical assisting and pharmacy technician courses for more than seven years. I am a current Medical Assisting instructor at the Keiser University campus in Tallahassee, Florida after working at the Lakeland campus for almost 5 years.

Prior to teaching, I worked as a pharmacy technician in an 880 bed hospital, the hospital's affiliated cancer center, and in the clinical offices as a medical assistant for an oncologist. I love pharmacy math and IV flow rates!

Last year, I obtained my ESOL/TEFL certification and worked for Disney English in Guangzhou, China.

I enjoy teaching and I always try to help students think of things in several different ways in order to help them process the new information they are learning. I do not give up and I am willing to find anyway possible to ensure that the material is not only learned, but easy to retrieve from memory when it is needed.

In my spare time, I volunteer for local community theaters in both the technical and performance aspects. I enjoy travel and I frequently visit New York City to see Broadway performances (although I have not been in almost a year!)
