Although mathematics and the natural sciences arrive to us steeped in rich cultural history, their study has languished in stiff, uninviting and uninspiring education. Math and Physics can be found in all facets of our lives and yet we are often taught from the offset to hate and fear them as subjects.

My Goal as a tutor is to demystify both and introduce young learners their fascinating history! Completing a physics major at Hampshire College, a college famous for its unorthodox teaching style, I garnered a strong understanding of how to interest my non-mathematical peers with complex scientific subjects. Many undergraduates, fresh out of high school, have developed a strong distaste for the exact sciences, often a consequence of having never been introduced to the interesting fringes of what physics and math seek to describe.

My approach to tutoring is a patient, step by step process which seeks to build a students intuition from key concepts. Memorization, of all but the most elemental concepts, is unnecessary when a student can reason from a strong base upwards. This builds the core skill many students miss in traditional Math or Physics courses, a 6th sense for what is sensible in the language of math and science.
