Certified Tutor

I received my B.S. in Biochemistry and a Master's in Chemistry from Wichita State University. I conducted research on Parkinson's Disease while at Wichita State and love learning, reading, and teaching about the brain and many other subjects. During my time at Wichita State I helped teach General Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and Instrumental Chemistry labs and was an assistant to the professors in the Chemistry Department. I attended the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB) to pursue a PhD in Neuroscience but decided to take another career path. I have worked at the University of Kansas as the Assistant Director of the Genome Sequencing Core and have also worked in the pharmaceutical industry at Catalent. I currently work at a bio-pharmaceutical company called Ventria Bioscience and love every minute of it!! I also love teaching, though, which is why I want to help students find their passion for science and make it fun but exciting to learn about while also helping students succeed and gain confidence in their abilities.
