I am a graduate of Northern Kentucky University. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education with a focus in elementary grades K-5. While working toward my degree I completed several courses for middle grades (5-9) math and science to extend my knowledge and provide higher-level learning opportunities to future students.

I am currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Education with a dual endorsement in Reading Specialist and Teaching English as a Second Language. I have 6 years of classroom experience and have taught 2nd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, and math/reading intervention. In addition, I spent one year working as a teacher in a structured teaching unit for kids with autism.

I'm familiar with Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards and have used them to guide my classroom teaching throughout my career. I also have experience with state testing expectations and have administered state tests within the classroom. I've served on various curriculum committees within my district and assisted with the creation of school curriculum guides and timelines. Education is my passion and I participate in personal development opportunities regularly to ensure I always provide my students with the best instruction possible.

I tutor a wide range of subjects and my broad range of experience allows me to create learning plans that provide maximum support to my students and address the needs of each individual. I have a strong passion for math, science, phonics, and grammar but enjoy teaching all content areas.

I believe a quality education is absolutely necessary for a prosperous future and strive to provide all students with the tools needed to achieve success.
