My career in education is inspired by my own experiences navigating ADHD. I love finding creative ways to help students access information. During my graduate studies, I focused my research on Project Based STEM education, STEM learning specialties, and alternative intervention strategies for students with specific learning needs such as ADHD and dyslexia. While I love teaching STEM subjects, I have a passion for literature and writing, and after becoming a published author I have integrated ELA into my teachable subject areas. Upon receiving my Masters Degree with the Teaching Literacy grades 5-12 Alumni award, I went on to teach 7th Grade Pre-Algebra, 11th grade physics, and 5th grade science. With over 7 years of tutoring experience and 5 years classroom teaching, I focus my instruction on relationship building, mastery of foundational concepts, tracking growth using concrete data, and fostering intrinsic motivation in students.
