I am a recent graduate of Hampshire College, where I received my bachelors of Fine Arts, with a focus on Japanese, sociology, ethnomusicology and theater. I was a camp counselor at Concordia College's Immersion Language Village's Japanese camp called Mori no Ike for two years. While there I taught students ages 8 to 18. Each student had varying Japanese knowledge and I was able to teach every one of them while speaking only in Japanese. So I am very comfortable with teaching Japanese in an immersion setting. My passion for Japanese is in speaking and listening and immersion teaching lends itself well to learning these skills. In my spare time I like to play video games like the Legend of Zelda and Pokemon. I also read manga, watch anime and roller blade.
