Hello there. My name is Sydney Rabara I am a fourth-year aerospace engineering student at the University of Texas at Austin.

In regards to my work experience, I am one of the test engineers for the Test and Launch Ops subteam with the Texas Rocket Engineering Lab (TREL). I am tasked with performing functionality tests on the COPVs, such as burst or cyclical hydrostatic testing. I am also a software engineer for the Autopilot subsystem team for the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Team at the University of Texas at Austin (UAVA), which uses the Rust and node.js programming language for an A* pathfinding algorithm. Additionally, I am the Chief Procurement Officer for the Texas Ladies, which has the role of preparing and organizing volunteer events for the spirit group.

Some of my skills include an understanding of C++, Rust, node.js, Matlab, Solidworks 2018 CAD modeling, 3D printing, communicating effectively, and teamwork. I am incredibly passionate about engineering, space, and programming, and I am always striving to learn and grow.

Some other information about me- I love to listen to music, read, write, skateboard, and exercise in my free time. I am always up to learn something new and expand my reaches as an engineer and as a member of society. My mission in life is to bring happiness and sustaining peace to everyone in any way I can; to achieve this I will not only do my part as an aerospace engineer but also by being a role model for others, especially young women of color like myself.
