I received my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from The Ohio State University. Additionally, I am licensed to teach PreK through third grade.
I have had the wonderful opportunity of teaching in a wide variety of classroom settings. No matter where I am teaching, I am passionate about building a relationship with each of my students. I uncover their interests, strengths, and weaknesses, and use those things to nurture a love of learning and self-confidence while helping them grow.
I enjoy teaching all core subject areas, including Math, Reading, English/Language Arts, Writing, Science, and History, for students PreK-3rd grade. However, I am most passionate when teaching Math, Reading, and Science. I believe that the excitement and positive attitude of the teacher is crucial in helping students succeed in the areas they find most challenging. Being able to share my love of learning with others and grow students' perseverance and self-confidence through helping them master a challenging concept is so rewarding. As an educator, I want students to persevere in learning, remain curious, and see that education plays an important role in their life.
When I am not in the classroom, I love hiking and camping, reading, baking, and playing board games. I hope to travel to all 62 National Parks someday too.
