I remember being anxious planning for college, I was completely overwhelmed by the prospect of paying for it all. I worried that I'd have to turn down my dream school (a small, private, liberal arts college) because my family couldn't afford it. Finding funds became an obsession. I treated it like a treasure hunt, was thrilled every time I found possible "free money", and celebrated each award won (no matter how small!).

Since then, I've channeled my scholarship-hunting passion to help others reduce their college costs. I use brainstorming techniques to help students expand their own sense of self, and broaden the scope for their scholarship search. This increased their odds of finding opportunities they're eligible for.

I'm an expert in time- and risk-management, a grammar and content geek, and an experienced public speaker. I tap into these skills for coaching students in planning their scholarship search and following through with applications.

I tutor using narrative, diagrams, and stick-figure-sketches. I modify content to address individuals' needs and unique learning styles, while also holding students accountable for their own learning.
