Certified Tutor

I have an undergraduate from Southeastern Louisiana University and a graduate degree from Texas A&M both in Mathematics. I have been tutoring for over fifteen years. Most of my experience is with high school age up to adult learners. I am currently an adjunct teacher at a couple of community colleges.

I like to emphasize to my students the reason behind mathematical ideas over the process. The mentality of memorization that students often bring is a habit I try to steer them away from. I believe a better understanding can be reached by clearly showing how topics grow and expand into the next one. Students build more confidence and mathematical ability from this sort of ground-up understanding. I love the interconnected nature of mathematics and I try to share that with them.
