Certified Tutor

I am a Chemistry tutor at Athletic Academic Center, Mississippi State University. I successfully completed my Ph.D. in Chemistry from Mississippi State University in December 2019. I conducted Ph.D. research on chemical education where I designed and developed novel teaching techniques to enhance students' chemistry learning and evaluated success of those developed teaching methods.

With the knowledge and experience, I realized how teaching instructions should be modified to grasp students' attention and improve understanding, analysis skills, and retention. Demonstrating concepts in different ways is important because student differ each other, with different capacity and competency levels. With my experience of working with diverse students, I can easily understand a student's subject knowledge level and serve accordingly. The research knowledge and experience have helped me better perform my duties as a recitation instructor, lab instructor, and tutor. Throughout my eight-year service as an educator, I have been involved in: designing and developing learning materials and assignments for high school students, instructing undergraduate chemistry laboratory courses, implementing a Biochemistry laboratory course (CH 4990) for Chemistry major undergraduates, designing a laboratory manual of undergraduate Biochemistry course, grading both high school and undergraduate level coursework, and conducting tutorial and problem discussion sessions for undergraduates.
