I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

I've always loved teaching! I think it comes from having three younger sisters going through the same schooling I did. Over the years, they must have consulted my help on homework from everything from chemistry to algebra and statistics to physics. Through them I learned endless patience but also the joy that comes from helping someone understand something.

I started self-studying chemistry in middle school and high school because I found the puzzle-solving aspects of synthesis really fun. Eventually, I made the top 20 high school students in the country in the US National Chemistry Olympiad. My experience self-studying gave me the confidence to learn and teach anything. Since I had to work things all out myself, I recognized where the common pitfalls and shortcuts were and gained a deeper foundational understanding that I hope to pass on to my students!

I went to Harvard from 2012-2016. I graduated with a degree in Statistics, but I still made time for courses I loved like getting an A in Organic Chemistry. Along the way, I gained more experience teaching at the college level as a course assistant for the introduction statistics course.

After a few years detour working in finance, I realized my true passion in caring for people. Now I'm doing a post-bac at Temple University and entering med school next year. This post-bac year covers all the pre-med requirements so courses like general chemistry are still fresh!

Looking forward to seeing how I can help :)
