I am a second year medical student in Drexel University College of Medicine, and graduated with a Bachelor's in Science in Biology from Drexel University as a part of the 8 year medical program. For years, I have been tutoring students (middle school, then later underclass high school students) and served as an undergraduate biology lab teaching assistant. I truly enjoy teaching and as an incoming second year medical student, will be an academic coach for first year students, too. I am flexible with my methods and allow my sessions to be student driven in order to tailor my teaching techniques to best fit the student's understanding. I believe that as a tutor, it is most helpful to students to assist them in gaining an understanding of the topic patiently rather than directly providing answers to their homework. The fruitful products of this work make me inclined to continue it, and the fact that Varsity Tutors has an online tutoring option makes the process even more convenient to get in touch with students across different locations.
