I have been a Senior Tutor at a school for autistic children, specifically students aged 12-15, where I worked for the past 1 1/2 years, teaching students on a one to one basis. I am now currently a Private Tutor and in my spare time work with refugees.
In April 2017 I was an English teacher working in Greece in a refugee camp, where I taught English classes to children and adults at different levels (I.e. beginner/intermediate/advanced). These lessons included learning how to write, read and speak in English.
Before this I was the Maths teacher at an independent school in Newcastle for the past 1 year, where I specifically taught foundation GCSE maths to students who had been excluded multiple times from other schools.
I have taught primary and secondary school students in the UK and overseas which has involved teaching classes and individuals on a one-to-one basis either basic/intermediate/advanced English, English Language, English Literature and Philosophy.
I am also a fully qualified chartered accountant (ACCA), gaining my professional qualification working at PwC in London as an auditor for 3 1/2 years.
I also play piano in my spare time having passed Grade 6, and teach beginners piano on both a casual and grade basis.
I have also worked in the following roles and places:
- July 2017 - March 2019: Forest Bridge School; Senior Class Tutor
- April 2017 - June 2017: Refugee Support; English Teacher and School Co-ordinator
- January 2016 - April 2017: TLG Newcastle; Maths Teacher
