Ericka: Lowell tutor
Certified Tutor
I am an educator and doctoral student. I went to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to become a certified teacher. My Wisconsin certification included grades 2-8. When I moved to Tennessee, my certification changed to grades 4-8. I earned my Masters degree in Social Work from Springfield College and I am currently working on my Doctorate in Social Work at Walden University. I have been a teacher for 16 years, most of that time was teaching English Language Arts. I have taught all grades from 2nd - 7th. I can tutor in ELA, writing, social studies, and Spanish. My favorite subject is writing because I personally love to write. My teaching style is relationship based. I believe in building good relationships with students, in my experience this helps the teaching/learning process. When I am not working on my PhD work, I love writing, music, art, and movies. I guess you could call me a "creative". Right now, I am not teaching full time so I look forward to tutoring.

I enjoy writing. I journal and write poetry. I love different types of music and I stay current with new music. I graduated from an arts high school where I majored in visual arts (painting and photography). I love art. Last but not least, I am a huge fan of documentaries but I like all types of movies. A good night for me is a movie and popcorn!
