I have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Saint Peter's University. While I apply my IT background sometimes in the working and teaching field, I find myself most of the time lost in creative writing, especially Screenwriting of fictional stories, which puts me right into another place. I am so grateful for those many books I've read until the coming of dawn as a child and still enjoy so many. From all of the tutoring I've done, Reading is my favorite subject. I also speak Dutch and when I listen to the sounds of spoken English, it has a playfulness and ease to it. I have taught ESL, Java, and have tutored Math, English, Reading, Writing, Chess, etc. for companies such as, Elizabeth NJ E Port Arts After School Program and Boys and Girls Club of Jersey City. I also have had many fun hours practicing breathing techniques, relaxing, balancing, and other Yoga stretches with my students. I teach Meditation Yoga, which helps us relax, stay calm, and focus. While I also create beautiful art pieces from my iPad Procreate app, I am passionate about English and feel, that is where I would like to spend my time in tutoring. When a farmer grows his seed with great passion and dedication, he waits while watering the seeds patiently, and one day, his wondrous gaze catches the sight of a tiny plant push out of the soil with vibrant energy. Thus, I have seen my students break through many difficulties. It requires the same patient, dedication as well as playfulness to achieve wondrous results.
