Certified Tutor

I graduated from California Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I also hold a Missouri Teaching certification in Biology.

I currently work as a Guided Study Hall teacher, where I enjoy working one-on-one with a variety of high school students who have very different academic and learning skillsets.

While I love tutoring chemistry and math, my all time favorite subject to tutor is Biology. I am very curious about learning how living organisms function, which makes me eager to share this knowledge with others.

I am a firm believer that every student is different and learns at a different rate, and that a good tutor or teacher is one who is able to identify his or her students' needs and skills.

I use a lot of visual aids and chunking methods. for example, I absolutely love to incorporate colors and fast sketches to summarize or chunk big ideas!

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my puppy. I also like reading and, as you might have guessed, drawing and painting!
