As a licensed Massachusetts educator, the dedication and energy I bring to my tutoring matches the level of commitment I bring to any aspect of my career. Earning a degree in history and license in secondary education at Smith College, I spent each semester either tutoring students or teaching. With experience tutoring a wide range of age groups, in addition to teaching high school students, I am prepared to scaffold assignments and sessions to various types of learning needs. As a history teacher, my work is grounded firmly in literacy and writing. The latter is a skill that many students need assistance with, ranging from mastering a style of academic writing for a specific examination, or bringing an edge to research papers and proposals. During my postgraduate studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, both my historical knowledge and writing skills were tested by a world-class institution. I bring experience, high expectations, and enthusiasm to each session.
