I am excited about the opportunity to assist children by building their confidence and competence. I am confident that every student can learn given the time, tools and strategies to be successful. When I begin working with a client I like to speak with the parents and student to determine their areas of strengths and concern. If necessary I like to do an assessment to determine where to begin working with the student to ensure we are targeting the areas to get right to helping the student become successful in the shortest amount of time. I use a lot of verbal praise and encouragement to help students feel successful. I will also give practice assignments to be completed by our next session (if desired) to ensure the information learned stays rooted in the clients memory. I am excited to work with your child to make him/her successful!
