I am excited to get my first real opportunity to teach students through Varsity Tutors! I grew up in Pennsylvania, but currently attend the University of Maryland where I major in English and New Media Studies, which includes areas like music, film, and journalism into my curriculum in addition to the standard reading, writing, and grammar of an english degree. Having had good experiences with being tutored as a high school student, I came to prefer tutoring sessions in which I interacted openly and often with my tutor. I want to create a friendly, engaging environment with my students through constant interaction and dialogue that we can both benefit from. Since students today tend to dislike or under appreciate reading and writing, I want to make the learning experience as enjoyable as possible so that learning the material becomes as easy as possible.
