My name is Jessica and I'm interested in tutoring because of the encouragement I give to students. School can be difficult for some students, and no two are alike. I enjoy getting to know who I'm working with and problem solving with them to figure out why they are struggling as an individual. After getting to know a student and their learning habits, it's easier to understand their way of thinking and further empowering them to learn in a way that is beneficial to them.

As a student myself, after long frustrating hours of not understanding why some material wasn't connecting. I learned that I was a visual learner. Charts, pictures and graphs helped me grasp concepts that were once just words floating on paper. Going through certain learning experiences has taught me that not all students learn and comprehend in the same way and by catering to their personal needs allows the student to flourish in a subject that was once difficult for them to grasp.
