Teaching is a beautiful art which presents a unique opportunity to facilitate the learning process of an individual. From my understanding, quality teaching motivates an open and collaborative setting where everyone involved, the teacher included, learns from others.

One thing I have learned over the years is that people generally don't "misunderstand" concepts, instead, they hold different opinions. This usually happens when what is being presented does not align with the intuitive disposition of the individual.

That's why I find it extremely important to invite my students to ask questions about what is being presented as well as solicit what they think by asking them questions.
